Terms & Conditions

Please Read Carefully

 

By booking your Photo Shoot you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions which are applicable to all Photo Shoots with the exception of Wedding Photography which carry their own terms which are detailed in full in your Wedding Photography contract.

1 –  Arriving Early – please endeavour to not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your photo shoot (to allow time for anyone in the studio previously to vacate).

2 – Arriving Late – please note that your scheduled start time is when your time in the studio begins, this is time reserved for you and if you are late arriving this will count towards your overall allotted studio time.

3 – Failure to attend – If you fail to attend your booking without contacting us prior to the photo shoot (48 hours notice) you will be required to pay an extra £10 on top of any voucher or photo shoot charge.

4 – Amending date/time – if you need to change your photo shoot date or time for any reason please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled photo shoot time where possible to allow us to re-allocate your time slot.

5 – Usage of your photographs – Daniel James Photography may, on occasion, use a photograph/s taken of you or any of your party for promotional purposes to ensure an up-to-date selection within our portfolio. This may include but not be limited to usage on our Facebook page, retail shop, and/or website. No image of you we have taken will ever be sold for commercial purposes without your express permission.

6 – Ordering Photo Shoot prints – your photographs will be stored for a minimum of one year (though we will always aim to keep them as long as our storage capacities allow) prior to being deleted, please ensure all orders are made by this time as deletion may be carried out without warning.

7 – Up-to-date – please notify us of any changes to your contact details, especially if you have any outstanding orders to enable us to keep you and our records up to date.

8 – Newsletter – upon any contact or competition entry we will securely record your e-mail address. We will then use this to send out occasional promotional newsletters only. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails from us please just e-mail us asking to be removed (or click the ‘unsubscribe’ button on the bottom of every newsletter e-mail) and we will happily carry out your request. We will never pass on your details to any other business.

9 – Check it twice – please take care to read the booking confirmation carefully as our Studio is not located at our Shop. It is around 5 minutes away from the Shop and the details that are given within the booking confirmation e-mail will direct you (we do not publish these online for security reasons). The booking confirmation e-mail also contains information on what to bring along and what not to wear and so it is important to please read it properly.

10 – Awareness – please be sure to make us aware of any medical conditions or special requirements prior to your photo shoot so that we may take appropriate measures (i.e. if you are suffering from a bad back we wont ask you to do any photographs lying down for example).

11 – Re-activation – Your Online Gallery will be live for a minimum of 1 month, at which point it will be deactivated and deleted from our website. Your images will then be moved to our Archives and a small fee may be required to re-activate the gallery for any further periods of time.

12 – All Sales Are Final – we will never pressure you to place an order at the Viewing Experience, however all orders placed at the Viewing Experience are final and will be sent to the printers/framers as soon as the session is ended. Therefore no changes can be made after this time and no refunds will be issued for mis-ordered items.

13 – Gift Voucher Upgrades – Gift Voucher items included cannot be upgraded. For example a Bronze Gift Voucher cannot be upgraded to become a Silver Gift Voucher at the Viewing Experience. We have Collections available to satisfy any additional print/gift bundle purchases.

14 – In-Studio Cameras – Please note we do not allow any photographs or video to be taken by customers in the studio (this includes camera phones) as they can interfere with the lights. Failure to adhere to this may result in an early termination of the Photo Shoot and any payments made, forfeited.

15 – Special Events – any special events such as, but not limited to,  ‘Pet Portrait Days‘ or ‘Photo Shoot Days‘ will require a 100% payment up-front and due to time limitations you are required to be at the studio at exactly the allotted time. Attendees who arrive late will have this time deducted from their photo shoot time. No refunds will be given to those changing their mind after payment has cleared and failure to attend will result in the entire payment being lost. Please be sure you are ok for the time and day prior to paying for your photo shoot slot.

16 – Orders Validity – please note any orders not collected after 6 months of placing the order will be destroyed and materials sold to recover any incurred costs.

17 – Abuse – our staff are entitled to work in a safe environment and any verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

18 – After Thoughts – please check your order carefully before leaving the shop. Once your order has left our shop then it is considered complete and accurate and as such any issues discovered thereafter may be charged at a full or partial re-print/re-edit cost dependant upon the issue/s.

 

These terms & conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Please ensure you have read them thoroughly and let us know if you have any discrepancies prior to your photo shoot/s.
