This little bundle of joy goes from needing to be carried around everywhere to rolling, sitting up, crawling and before you know it they’re walking – all often in the first 12 months and so it’s extra important to mark the milestones and we think the First Steps Package is the perfect way to do this.
The First Steps Package includes Photo Shoots at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months to give you a beautiful selection of images to help remember this amazing time (especially helpful as remembering isn’t so easy on 2 hours of sleep a night!). Optional add-ons include a Maternity Portrait and Newborn Photo Shoots.
Bringing a baby into the world is a wonderful thing. In all the chaos and preparation leading up to birth, it’s easy to forget the little moments. A Pregnancy Photo Shoot is a great way to commemorate the impending arrival. It’s also lovely to include your partner and any older children as they prepare to welcome the smallest member of the family.
If you would like to capture your baby’s very earliest days, a Newborn Photo Shoot is specially set up for the comfort of your little one. Carefully posed on a neutral background, this session takes place when your little one is under three weeks and so at their tiniest. Select a cherished toy or outfit for a truly personal experience.
Looking to add to your gift or catalogue more of your parenting journey? We can add extras to the First Steps package, including a Maternity Photo Shoot before the arrival of your little one, or a Newborn Photo Shoot to capture the new arrival within the first three weeks of their life. Add either one or both of these shoots to your package for £25 each (with an Online Gallery, Viewing Experience, and Mounted Print included).
We went for a photo shoot yesterday with my 4 month old granddaughter. The studio was lovely and warm and Daniel was absolutely fantastic with her. He knew exactly how to gain her attention with a variety of props and we all felt totally at ease. I would recommend Daniel for any family portraits. A Viewing Experience at our Kinver Shop after each photo shoot which allows you to view our extensive product range as well as see your beautiful images on the big screen
+ Optional add-on photo shoots for Maternity (ideally around 3 weeks before your due date) and/or Newborn (within the first 3 weeks), each of these can be added on for an additional £25 and include all of the above.

Mounted Prints finished beautifully in a black and silver freestanding frame from £20 or upgrade to a Gallery Framed Print which comes in one of our carefully crafted ready-to-hang handmade frames from £65.
Digital Images
Print what you want, when you want, wherever you want with the flexibility that Digital Image options offer you. Saved on a USB for you to use in your computer or TV my digital image bundles start at £175.
Gallery Canvas Prints
My canvas prints are hand-stretched with hand-folded corners & flawlessly finished on chunky 38mm pine frames. Carefully finished with framing tape and printed with inks that will last 100 years without fading they come with a 10-year guarantee and start at £100.
A relaxed and casual approach to my photo shoots come with an emphasis on comfort and cosiness. I want you to enjoy you and your little one to enjoy your session and be talking about it, and the pictures for years to come. I go with the flow, allowing your little one to explore and enjoy the experience, no pressure and no forced poses, let’s capture them at play being themselves.
Bold and bright is always a winner. I recommend keeping away from white as it can make you look a little washed out against the white backdrop. Finally keeping it clean without big brand logos across your clothing helps to retain a timeless quality to the images.
Each First Step Photo Shoot is set for 1 hour which is divided roughly like this. The first 5-10 minutes is getting you and your family settled (especially important with young children) and explaining how the photo shoot works. This is followed by 20-40 minutes of photography which will include different poses, and outfits (if you want to bring a selection for the little one this is always helpful) to maximise the time and vary the photos. The remaining time is then used to talk about what will happen going forward with editing, your Online Gallery and to book in your Viewing Experience and next Step.
Absolutely, the Photography Studio is a large converted double garage which means it’s all on ground level and fully accessible.
Your Online Gallery goes live a few days before your Viewing Experience and gives you the chance to look at your images on a private website from the comfort of your own home.
The Viewing Experience takes place at our shop in Kinver and gives you the chance the relax and see your images on the big screen. After a slideshow of your photographs, we will guide you through product samples we have including print, digital, and canvas options available to you (with absolutely no pressured sales).
