Cooper’s Pet Photo Shoot
Cockapoo puppy pet portrait
When it comes to being photogenic, Cooper the cockapoo puppy could teach the very best a thing or two. This pink-nosed, chocolate coloured ball of joyous energy came bounding into the studio ready to strike poses and melt hearts.
At just ten weeks old, Cooper was already full of personality and ready to flex for the camera. I’m a huge dog lover anyway but this little guy made things easy. Using all the old tricks (mostly treats provided by owner Bethany) we coaxed Cooper into a variety of poses. He’s already very good at sitting and batting those puppy dog eyes!
When bringing a dog to the studio, the routine is much the same as with kids. A few moments of introduction make the model feel at ease with both myself and the studio. Dogs love to have a good sniff around and explore the workspace before we get started. The studio can be intimidating, especially to a youngster, so this part is very important! Most dogs will not have come across the bright lights and popping flash, so I always make owners aware that even the most well-trained dogs may behave unpredictably at first.
When they are happy, we can begin the fun. I aim to provide a relaxed and entertaining experience, meaning Cooper could just be himself while I snapped away in the background. He’s already a little superstar, that’s for sure!
