Family Photo Shoot
Kinver Edge with Pip & Amelia
It’s no secret that I love photographing at Kinver Edge. It’s such a versatile place, gorgeous throughout the seasons and offering numerous backdrops, depending on how far you’re willing to walk.
This time we were joined by Amelia and Pippa, who brought along their parents and three dogs for a fun and relaxed autumnal shoot. Though kids and dogs combined often pose certain challenges, they can also bounce off each other and make for some really fun shots.
Even in the glorious weather, both Amelia and Pippa took a while to get going. Often an outdoor photo shoot can be favourable for shy children, as they can run around and be themselves while I disappear into the background to capture them doing what they do best without the worry of a studio setting. Interacting with the landscape is a great way to get kids moving about too!
Soon enough, we were conquering tree stumps, throwing leaves, discovering secret hideaways, and getting some super cheeky poses from both girls. A fun walk in the woods that the family will be able to treasure for years to come. This was my second time photographing Amelia, the last being back in 2018, so it’s lovely to see her growing up, too.
If you’d like to book an outdoor photo shoot for your family, or even a camera-aware canine, warmer days are coming! A location of your choice can always be scouted and we are always open to suggestions.
