Recently I posted in a few local Facebook groups about the idea of a Photo Walk and after some i’ve finally decided to set a date for a Winter Walk over Kinver Edge, timed to take in the golden hour and hopefully a beautiful sunset.

This will be the first (of many, hopefully) ‘Snap & Chat’ walks which are ~2 hour walks exploring the natural beauty spot Kinver Edge and taking pictures along the way. While on the walk we’ll stop at a few places to take photographs and talk a little about getting the best out of your camera (settings, angles etc). The walk will then hopefully end at a local café to talk about the shots we’ve taken and warm up with a cuppa. To come along all you need is a passion for photography and a camera of some sort. The camera you bring can be a big professional DSLR, a point and shoot, a disposable film camera, or even your mobile phone.

The event is FREE to attend but please click ‘Going’ on the Event page if you intend to attend so that we can work out numbers for health & safety etc. Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian with them. The only rule is that talk must be kept positive which means absolutely no politics and a general rule of if you’ve not got something nice to say, don’t say it.

The aim of this experience is to bring together like-minded photography enthusiasts, take in some fresh air and get a bit of exercise which will all help improve your mental health (especially helpful with the January blues and anyone who experiences a little S.A.D)

After the event, i’ll open up a Facebook Group for everyone to post their pictures
