Family Portrait for Jen, Carl, Oscar & Leo

Back at the beginning of the pandemic we launched our BIG Thank You Giveaway as a means of thanking our much valued NHS Staff and Keyworkers for their vital work during these difficult times. Our lucky winner was Jen, who works in an ambulance call centre.

Jen and her partner Carl first came to the studio in 2011 with their son Oscar, for a fun family photo shoot (the first picture). We were thrilled when a year later Jen and Carl hired us to photograph their wedding at The Whittington (picture 2). When they joined me this time, in somewhat different circumstances, newish edition Leo had joined and made the family complete. We like to do what we can to get natural smiles out of my clients and often find that kids respond better to a bit of background music to make to whole experience more fun and we’re used to getting requests for Frozen or Baby Shark but we were very impressed when the request was for AC/DC.

The boys really came into their own and tried out their kickboxing moves for some fun action shots towards the end. It’s always a pleasure seeing families come back time after time, always growing and changing, reminding us that even during the most trying times, there are some people whose work is so vital it’s hard not to say a great big thank you every time we can. We were able to capture Jen, Carl and the boys exactly as they are, a happy family no matter what. We are still able to offer socially distanced Photo Shoots in the Studio for groups of up to five people from one household or Outdoor Family Photo Shoots to capture this beautiful time of year as the Autumn starts to show.
