“In photography, the golden hour (sometimes known as magic hour, especially in cinematography) is the first and last hour of sunlightduring the day. when a specific photographic effect is achieved due to the quality of the light.” – Wiki
When a beautiful clear day moves into the Golden Hour it gives photographers a beautiful warm light to work with and who better to work with than my partner & assistant and my old friend the ‘nifty fifty’ (Canon 50mm f/1.8).
Later in the day we had the pleasure of 2 very lively dogs, Connie & Kieva the Border Collie’s who posed beautifully in the studio for us.
Pet Portraits are always a challenge as you can only direct animals so much and capturing their personality is always a key goal rather than a very plain image that could be anyones pet.
