HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
Daniel James Photography turns 8 years old today and we’re feeling all nostalgic as we look back over some of the great photo shoots we’ve had along the way. It may sound a little cheesy but without our lovely clients we really are nothing and they’ve all, each and every one, helped us to become the business we are today.
From our first Photo Shoot with Amelia and our first wedding at Bethel Chapel in Lye right through to our latest client where we’re photographing her handmade Chainmaille Jewellery we’ve met some truly great people and pets along the way.
A few of our more unusual Photo Shoots have included a wide range of Puppets from Button Box Gifts (who we’ve worked with from the beginning – and still do!), 4x Guinea Pigs, a Burlesque Dancer and a Ballet Dancer.
From the start, the business was created to capture memories and this remains our mantra today, aiming to take a snapshot of your lives and put them in prints and albums that will remain timeless as well as endless returning smiles as you remember the photo shoot, wedding day or other special event.
Along the way we’ve also tried to help young students to get into photography by working with schools to participate as much as possible within their work experience programmes and even gaining Lauren along the way who joined us for her work experience.
Lauren had an amazing enthusiasm and drive towards photography, one that I don’t think I had at her age and she just knew she wanted to get into photography and become a photographer. After her work experience she asked if she could become an apprentice within the company and we were only too happy to accommodate. After that year we were able to take her on as a full member of staff as our Junior Photographer and she’s been with the company ever since.
We’ve come along way from just offering Portrait Photography and Wedding Photography, as requests have been made and demand seen in the area we’ve added a number of Photography Services to our offerings including Video to DVD, Picture Framing, Photo Restoration, Slide & Negative Scanning and Passport Photographs.
We’ve had a great 8 years and we look forward to another 8 years, capturing memories and making you smile.
